Congressman calls for moral clarity in high education.
U.S. Representative Chip Roy of Texas has introduced legislation to defund and make accountable the United Nations Relief and Work Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East, known as UNRMA. He also wants to defund the United Nations Human Rights Council, which he called “an absurdity on its face.” He said Congress has been funding radicals who hate Israel and America for generations.
Congressman Roy said it is not only funding the international organizations that is problematic, as they are “all connected, by the way, to the funding of higher education.” He added that taxpayers are paying for this with billions of dollars a year.
He said institutions of higher education have been teaching young people to hate America and Western values and principles. He called for moral clarity in taxpayer-funded universities.
